BROOKE DICARO

Brooke DiCaro is a passionate singer/songwriter from the small rural town of Woodstown, New Jersey. Not fitting into any one specific genre, she combines elements of Jazz and Blues to create a unique sound highlighting her soulful voice accompanied by a piano and ukulele. Brooke is often compared to Fiona Apple, Amy Winehouse, and Regina Spektor.

Brooke began singing in school choirs and musical theater while studying piano. She soon realized that performing and writing songs on the piano were her passions. She later picked up the ukulele and drew influence from Jazz and Alternative writing styles. In November 2013, Brooke independently released her debut self-titled EP. The EP continues to gain recognition throughout the tri-state area and has been featured on "Live At 5 Studio Session" at Philadelphia's top alternative radio station Radio 104.5, Southern New Jersey's WSTW 93.7, and Rowan Radio's WGLS 89.7. Her sophomore EP, "Consequences," was released in the spring of 2015. The project was recorded at Locustwood Studios and mixed and mastered by 9-time Grammy award winner Joe "The Butcher" Nicolo.

Currently, Brooke plays weekly shows throughout the quad-state (NJ/PA/DE/NY) area where she does both original and cover gigs. She played nearly 200 shows last year. While Brooke often plays solo, she can be seen with a backup band which consists of bass, percussion, and saxophone. Some notable venues in which she has played include: The Kimmel Center for Performing Arts, MusikFest, two Live @ 5 studio sessions on Philly's Radio 104.5, Xfinity Live, Hard Rock Cafe, World Cafe Live (PA and DE), and many more.
